- Will I be able to attend class using my computer?
- Eat Smart, Move More, Weigh Less Online classes are run via Elluminate Live!. You will need: a relatively new computer and headphones (inexpensive ear buds will work) or speakers. If you are logging in from your worksite you will need to make sure that there is not a firewall preventing you from logging in.
- Do I have everything downloaded that I need to attend the class from my computer?
- Please check to make sure you have all the necessary software installed by following this link:

- Will my class URL change each week?
- No—your class URL will remain the same for the entire 15-week series.
- Are class sessions recorded?
- Class sessions are not recorded—they are live sessions.
- Can I attend a class other than the one I am registered for?
- You must attend the class session that you select during registration.
- Can I get a refund?
- We do not issue refunds. Please make sure to read policies carefully before registering.
- What materials will I receive?
- All participants will receive an Eat Smart, Move More, Weigh Less magazine and journal, as well as a weekly report card.
- Can I get extra materials?
- You may purchase a set of extra materials (magazine and journal) for $5.
- Who do I contact if I do not receive my materials?
- Please contact your instructor if you have not received class materials by the end of the first week of classes.
- Can my instructor and classmates see or hear me?
- No. Sessions are setup so we can only have one person using the camera and the microphone at one time
- Does my buddy have to be in my class?
- Your buddy does not have to be in your class or be an Eat Smart, Move More, Weigh Less participant. You may find it helpful to have a buddy that is also a participant and connect with them online, at work, etc.

- When should I complete the pre-session activities?
- As soon as possible. Please make sure they have been completed BEFORE your first class using the same computer/location that you will use for class. Instructors cannot give you tech support while teaching the class. Please contact LearnTech at (919) 513-7094.
- What do I log-in as: Elluminate Live! Manager or Guest?
- You will log-in to each class session as a Guest. Please enter your email address, first and last name (same as you registered with), and the password assigned to your class. You will have received the class password from your instructor.
- I’m getting the following error message – [Login Name/Password] is invalid!.
- If you are getting this error message you have tried to log into the session as an Elluminate Live! Manager. Please log-in as a Guest.
- I hit enter on the sign-in screen, but I’m not being linked to my class.
- If pop-ups are blocked on your computer you may have to manually start the session. Please watch our YouTube tutorial to sign into class: Signing In To Class Tutorial. Depending on the browser you are using it may look something like the following:
Internet Explorer - I see a list of classes, but I don’t see my class listed.
- You will need to hit the back arrow on your internet browser and manually start the session. You will click “manually start the session”. You can also view our tutorial: Signing In To Class Tutorial.
- I’m getting a “Connection Failed” message.
- If you are getting a “Connection Failed” message you have a firewall preventing you from logging into your class. You will need to work with your IT department to resolve this issue. To access the Elluminate server, your IT department will need to configure your firewall to allow traffic on the following IP address and ports:
- **IP address:152.463.178
- **Ports: 80 and 2187
- Who should I contact if I can’t get into my class?
- Please do NOT try to call your instructor. He/She cannot help you when they are in the middle of teaching. Please contact LearnTech at (919) 513-7094. They are available Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm. It is very important to complete your pre-session in well in advance of your first class session to avoid any technical issues.
