We are thrilled to introduce 
today’s Holiday Challenge Spotlight, the Arizona Department of Health Services. Arizona is participating in the 2016 Holiday Challenge in a big way, and we want to take the time to highlight their successes.
Back in 2013, the state of Arizona only had 16 participants. The 2014 and 2015 participation began to slowly increase and made it to 100 participants from three or four different counties. So far in the 2016 Holiday Challenge, they have over 205 participants from across the state. The Arizona Department of Health Services shares their experience below. Way to go, Arizona!
ADHS Holiday Challenge Participation
“The Arizona Department of Health Services is a proud participant in this year’s Maintain Don’t Gain Holiday challenge. This will be the second consecutive year ADHS has participated and is eager to increase the number of individual participants. A few weeks into the Holiday Challenge, 205 people representing 10 out of the 15 Arizona counties are participating! This is more than half the goal to reach 350 participants statewide and representation from all counties. Of the 197 participants, 103 are from the Arizona Department of Health Services. The challenge is supported by The Arizona Department of Health Services Director, Dr. Cara Christ with email messages and posts on the ADHS Intranet. There are also short daily tips, tools and resources, challenges, webinars and more which are promoted by the ADHS Wellness Team.”
