“I completed my last class of 15-week Eat Smart, Move More, Weigh Less course last night. This has been an incredible journey for me but mostly for my ‘buddy’. I traveled down this road with one goal in mind: to help and support her, a good friend of mine for over 20 plus years.
Along this journey, I have received more than I ever thought possible. I originally joined as a way to encourage and help a friend whose health had deteriorated. Well, let me just say Eat Smart, Move More, Weigh Less has changed me and my friend’s life for the better. In helping her, I have benefited from weight loss and better mindful eating habits. She has had great success; losing weight and inches, and her blood pressure is improving. As for me, I too have lost weight and inches, my blood pressure (which wasn’t bad to start with) is even better. These successes have kept us engaged and excited throughout the last 15 weeks. As class ends tonight, we are already making plans for a new weight goal and personal trainer for strength training. I am determined to stay with mindful eating as a way of life for the rest of my life, and to do all I can in my power to bring my friend closer to her goals of healthiness and happiness.
Can I just say, our instructor is awesome! His upbeat style, encouragement, and support have been instrumental in keeping us motivated and engaged and in perfect attendance.
I will forever be grateful to have traveled down this road and most of all for the success my friend has experienced and continues to strive for.”
